Application Portfolio Management Analyst I – Technical Debt Coordinator (Application Portfolio Management/ITIL): Managing the full lifecycle of software applications in Mexico, from inventory, intake, rationalization, and upgrades through decommissioning and data archiving, with an accent on application dependencies, compliance, and technical debt coordination. Focus on assessing application capabilities, coordinating legacy-data migration, maintaining architecture documentation, and supporting ITIL-aligned service management and analyst-led projects.

What you will do

  • Manage software application inventories and related assets throughout the application lifecycle.
  • Assess new and existing applications, identify overlapping functionality, and support rationalization decisions.
  • Coordinate application upgrades, security patches, decommissioning, data migration, and archival activities.
  • Maintain documentation covering applications, infrastructure, databases, integrations, dependencies, system diagrams, and disaster recovery requirements.
  • Support analyst-led projects by coordinating meetings, follow-ups, team activities, and status communication.
  • Work with software vendors and ensure application teams receive effective support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field, or relevant education with 8+ years of industry experience.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in healthcare IT or an equivalent IT application analyst role.
  • Experience with ITIL-aligned Incident, Request, and Change Management processes.
  • Understanding of application portfolio management, application lifecycle management, inventory tracking, rationalization, decommissioning, and data retention.
  • Technical understanding of application infrastructure, databases, integrations, dependencies, and underlying technologies.
  • Ability to analyze contract terms, identify costs and termination provisions, solve problems, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively.
