Freelance Website Copywriter / Content Strategist (Webflow)

Location: Fully remote, open to writers across New Zealand, the UK, Europe, North America, and beyond

What you will do

• Develop narrative and messaging strategies for website projects in collaboration with project designers.
• Create client-facing presentations with strategic content recommendations and initial copy concepts.
• Produce content wireframes in Figma covering page narrative, content hierarchy, and approximate word counts.
• Write polished, on-brand website copy for B2B and B2C clients across various industries.
• Optimize content for SEO and AEO, including AI-assisted search.
• Revise copy based on feedback from designers, strategists, and clients through design handoff.

Requirements

• Strong experience writing website copy for different industries, brands, and complex offerings.
• Ability to adapt voice and tone while maintaining clarity and sharpness.
• Strong understanding of the relationship between copy and design.
• Comfort working directly in Figma alongside project designers.
• Solid understanding of SEO/AEO principles and content performance in search.
• Methodical, collaborative approach with the ability to incorporate feedback.

Nice to have

• Experience running content strategy workshops.
• Experience leading clients through messaging development.
