FinOps Lead - Cloud (REMOTE)

What you will do

• Establish and lead a FinOps Center of Excellence.
• Build financial accountability across engineering, finance, and leadership teams through training, guidance, and knowledge sharing.
• Implement, administer, and optimize Flexera One and native AWS and Azure cost-management platforms.
• Develop dashboards for allocating shared, containerized, and untagged cloud expenses, and provide unit economics reporting.
• Drive cloud financial accountability by aligning spend with business value, savings initiatives, and governance controls.
• Partner with application development, network engineering, and infrastructure teams to align architecture and cloud usage with cost objectives.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in cloud financial management or infrastructure operations, including enterprise public cloud environments.
• Three years of experience in a senior or subject matter expert position.
• Extensive expertise in AWS and Azure cost and billing frameworks.
• Advanced experience with Flexera One, AWS Cost Explorer, and Azure Cost Management.
• Strong analytical skills with SQL, data modeling, business intelligence platforms, and large-scale data analysis.
• Knowledge of cloud governance, tagging strategies, chargeback/showback models, and Kubernetes cost allocation.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, engineering, management information systems, or finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• FinOps Foundation certification or an advanced degree.
• Experience with private cloud environments, SaaS portfolio management, enterprise licensing models, and cross-functional optimization initiatives.
