Machine Learning Engineer (Computer Vision)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy production-ready machine learning models, with a focus on computer vision.
• Build AI capabilities that identify, track, and analyse construction progress from visual data.
• Research and implement solutions using LLMs, multimodal AI models, and generative AI.
• Build and maintain scalable ML pipelines for data preparation, training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Develop MLOps infrastructure covering model versioning, CI/CD, deployment automation, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and AI specialists to integrate ML capabilities into production applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of commercial experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or AI Engineer.
• Experience building and deploying production machine learning systems and computer vision models.
• End-to-end MLOps experience, including data collection and labelling, model training and evaluation, pipeline development, CI/CD automation, model versioning, monitoring, and optimisation.
• Strong Python skills, experience with PyTorch, and experience deploying scalable inference infrastructure.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and the ability to work remotely from the Philippines with distributed teams across New Zealand and Australia.

Nice to have

• Experience with TensorRT or similar inference optimisation engines.
• Experience developing Edge AI or Edge ML applications.
• Experience with .NET and C#, cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, and modern ML deployment pipelines.
• Experience with construction technology, geospatial imaging, drone imagery, or spatial data.
