Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Kubernetes)

Salary: $145,000–$193,000 CAD per year

What you will do

• Own critical infrastructure across compute, networking, storage, and GCP/AWS cloud services.
• Drive complex infrastructure migrations across production environments and regulated jurisdictions.
• Build and maintain platform tooling, GitOps automation, release pipelines, and service onboarding workflows using ArgoCD, Helm, and GitHub Actions.
• Support development teams with infrastructure consulting, architecture reviews, dependency resolution, and platform adoption.
• Design Datadog observability, alerting, dashboards, and runbooks for hundreds of production services.
• Provide incident response, structured debugging, root cause analysis, and operational support through on-call rotations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a similar SRE or DevOps role.
• Strong production Kubernetes and Linux experience, including cluster lifecycle, networking, storage, and scheduling.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, and/or on-premise environments.
• Proficiency in at least two of Go, Python, and Bash/Shell.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, networking, capacity planning, and performance analysis.
• Experience with GitOps, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, incident response, and leading cross-team infrastructure projects.

Nice to have

• Experience with Istio, Cilium, Ceph, bare-metal Kubernetes, or Talos OS.
• Exposure to regulated environments such as sports betting or fintech.
• Experience with Datadog or comparable observability platforms at scale.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, PgBouncer, or database migration tooling.
