Chief of Staff, Information Security & IT Operations

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States. U.S. citizenship is required due to federal compliance obligations. Identity verification is required before starting.

Compensation: $200,000–$235,000 USD annually, with potential performance-based bonuses.

hirify.global is a medical technology company developing a point-of-care EEG platform for rapid seizure detection and the diagnosis and management of serious neurological conditions in acute care settings.

What you will do

• Partner with the VP of Information Security to shape and execute strategy across GRC, FedRAMP, IT operations, business systems, and security engineering.
• Advise on organizational design, resourcing, prioritization, and execution across the VP’s five teams.
• Drive cybersecurity and compliance initiatives covering FedRAMP High, HIPAA, SOC 2, SOX ITGC, and NIST 800-53.
• Oversee continuous monitoring, audit readiness, FedRAMP documentation, POA&M tracking, and third-party risk remediation.
• Prepare executive and Board materials, briefings, dashboards, and reporting on security posture, program status, and emerging risks.
• Lead complex cross-functional initiatives, tooling evaluations, process redesigns, and operational improvements using tools such as Jira and Notion.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in strategic or executive support, chief of staff, or program management roles, including 3–5 years supporting senior technology or security leaders.
• Experience managing cybersecurity, IT, or compliance programs, with familiarity with FedRAMP, SOC 2, HIPAA, SOX ITGC, and NIST 800-53, 800-30, and 800-161.
• Exceptional organization, multitasking, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills in complex environments.
• Strong executive communication skills, including presenting security and compliance topics to technical and non-technical audiences, senior executives, and the Board.
• High professionalism, discretion, and integrity when handling sensitive and confidential information.
• U.S. citizenship and pre-employment identity verification are required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, technology management, computer science, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
• CISA, CISSP, PMP, or other industry-recognized certifications.
• Experience with Jira, Notion, Tenable, Splunk, AWS, GCP, or Okta.
