Senior Software Engineer (Java)

Location: Prague office, Czech Republic

Annual base salary: Kč 1,884,000–2,301,000, excluding other compensation and benefits. The role is eligible for an incentive award.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and improve high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
• Define target architectures and technical strategy for large-scale distributed systems.
• Build scalable, maintainable, resilient, and high-performance platforms using Java, databases, DevOps, messaging, automation, and scripting.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and senior stakeholders to define requirements and deliver complex projects.
• Participate in code reviews, promote knowledge sharing, and implement unit testing and secure coding practices.
• Contribute to technology communities, continuous improvement, and risk and control activities.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience leading the design and delivery of large-scale distributed systems.
• Extensive proficiency in Java, DevOps, event-driven and messaging architectures, databases, automation, and scripting.
• Experience defining technical direction and influencing multiple stakeholder groups.
• Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to build scalable, resilient, maintainable, and secure software with effective unit testing.
• Strategic thinking, business acumen, risk management, and understanding of digital and technology practices.

Nice to have

• Understanding of AI/ML technologies, LLMs, agentic AI, and multi-agent architectures in enterprise software.
• Experience with cloud-native technologies and observability frameworks such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and Elastic Stack.
• Ability to adapt priorities, respond to changing business needs, and drive innovation through automation.
