Tax Analyst Programmer, Senior

Location: Remote within all U.S. states

hirify.global develops tax preparation software that helps customers identify eligible credits and deductions and maximize their refunds.

What you will do

• Research and implement complex federal and state tax laws in TaxAct software.
• Design plain-language interview questions that guide users through their tax returns.
• Write and review test cases to validate tax calculations and content accuracy.
• Collaborate with forms developers and IRS and state agencies on form and e-file certifications.
• Test colleagues’ work, communicate across teams, and contribute customer-focused enhancements.
• Mentor newer tax analysts and positively influence the wider team.

Requirements

• BS/BA in Business Accounting or equivalent related experience.
• 2+ years of experience in federal and state taxation, preferably across multiple tax categories.
• Knowledge of the tax industry and/or TaxAct products.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, listening, multitasking, and deadline-management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• CPA or EA certification.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
