AI Engineer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Define and enforce capture specifications for warehouse footage, including camera calibration and quality standards.
• Develop evaluation harnesses to determine the trainability of collected data for robot-learning models.
• Perform post-training on open robot-learning models using internal data and evaluate task performance.
• Bridge the gap between warehouse reality and model requirements by measuring ground truth and hand-pose estimation.
• Provide technical judgment to steer data collection strategies and capital investments in hardware.

Requirements

• Proficiency in PyTorch and computer vision with real 3D geometry (camera calibration, pose estimation, SLAM).
• Experience reading and reproducing research papers in a practical, real-world environment.
• Deep understanding of robot-learning stacks and policy classes.
• Proven experience training models on self-collected datasets and identifying failure modes.
• Familiarity with ROS 2 and multi-camera rig synchronization.
• Ability to work independently as the primary ML voice in a cross-functional team.
