HDV Intern (Automotive)

Location: Beijing, China (Hybrid); work in the Beijing office 4 days per week, ideally at least 32 hours per week

Salary: CNY 4,202 per month for 30 hours per week, or a proportional amount based on the workload permitted by the university.

What you will do

• Contribute to research projects analyzing and communicating environmental transportation policies adopted in China.
• Support statistical analysis under the guidance of research staff.
• Translate reports and draft outreach materials.
• Complete ad-hoc research and program support tasks.
• Report to China heavy-duty vehicle program staff.

Requirements

• Be in the third or fourth year of an undergraduate program or the first year of graduate study in automobile engineering, environmental sciences, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrate strong research, analytical, quantitative, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Be able to work with databases and statistical software such as R, Python, and Tableau.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese is required.
• Be available to work 4 days per week for 6–12 months.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of automobile technology and experience with relevant projects.
• Proficiency in R.
• Microsoft Office knowledge.
