Embedded Software Engineer III, Ring, Ring (IoT)

Location: Gdansk, Poland

Salary: PLN 28,866.67 gross per month minimum; additional compensation may include a sign-on payment, restricted stock units, and applicable incentives.

What you will do

• Design and implement firmware across connectivity, streaming, power management, sensors, and security subsystems.
• Own embedded architecture and technical direction from early hardware concepts through production release.
• Write and review high-quality C and C++ code, drivers, and hardware-integrated features.
• Investigate complex issues spanning application code, firmware, hardware registers, board variants, temperature conditions, and long-duration operation.
• Mentor engineers, lead design and code reviews, and raise the team's technical standards.
• Partner with hardware, QA, cloud, app, silicon vendor, and leadership teams on product delivery, technical strategy, and risk management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT, or an equivalent field.
• Deep embedded development experience in C or C++ on resource-constrained hardware.
• Experience owning embedded subsystem or product design end to end, from architecture through production release.
• Experience shipping embedded products at volume.
• Experience with ARM CPUs, low-level drivers, interrupt service routines, and hardware-software debugging.
• Experience mentoring engineers and communicating technical decisions and risks clearly in writing and verbally.

Nice to have

• Master's degree or higher in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering.
• Experience with silicon or board bring-up, vendors, BLE, Wi-Fi, battery-powered products, and power optimization.
• Experience with embedded audio or video streaming, embedded security, secure boot, key storage, secure updates, Embedded Linux, or FreeRTOS.
• Knowledge of SPI, I2C, UART, JTAG, protocol analyzers, and hardware-based unit, regression, and system testing.
• Experience building GenAI applications.
