What you will do

• Provide intraoperative neuromonitoring during surgical procedures and monitor patients’ nervous systems.
• Review medical histories and consult with surgeons on structures at risk and monitoring modalities.
• Communicate monitoring information to surgeons and surgical teams throughout each case.
• Display, label, measure, and calculate waveform data, including latencies, amplitudes, and conduction times.
• Select appropriate protocols, troubleshoot monitoring issues, and ensure accurate data collection.
• Complete IOM documentation and logs, upload files, and maintain neuromonitoring equipment.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, 3 years with a master’s degree, or a PhD without experience; equivalent experience may be accepted.
• CNIM certification and at least 5 years of intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring experience.
• Operating-room experience and the ability to maintain CNIM status.
• Effective English communication with surgeons and surgical staff, plus strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to travel regularly, transport and set up equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, and maintain required hospital privileges and applicable vaccination requirements.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation for medical equipment, and eligibility for medical malpractice insurance coverage at standard rates.
