Market Analyst Derivatives Market (Derivatives)

Location: Netherlands, Amsterdam. Operations run in shifts covering 06:30–22:30 CET.

What you will do

• Supervise portfolios of international equity, index, and commodity derivative products and safeguard fair and orderly trading.
• Maintain derivative trading safety nets by tuning settings, resolving pricing alerts, and adjusting pricing parameters.
• Decide when to halt or reopen derivative contracts and determine whether trades are aberrant or orders should be cancelled.
• Monitor, identify, report, and escalate irregularities under trading procedures, rulebooks, MiFID II, and the Market Abuse framework.
• Maintain the test environment and perform sanity checks for new trading-platform releases.
• Provide market expertise to EMS Markets projects and calculate daily settlement and expiry prices for exchange and clearing-house settlements.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in a similar role at an exchange or trading firm.
• Master’s degree in Quantitative Finance, Econometrics, Engineering, or a similar quantitative field.
• Full professional English proficiency required.
• Strong IT acumen and programming knowledge in Python, R, or MATLAB.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, organized, and able to make decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and intercultural skills for collaboration across locations.

• Dutch or French language skills.
