TL;DR

Senior Android Developer (Kotlin/Jetpack Compose): Building and maintaining Android geo features for a mobility and urban services platform, with an accent on real-time location tracking, maps, geofencing, and scalable UI architecture. Focus on integrating location and routing services, optimizing memory, battery, UI, and network performance, and delivering reliable features through CI/CD and experimentation.

Location: Fully remote for candidates in Poland, Kazakhstan, the EU, Armenia, or Georgia; CET working time zone.

What you will do

Design, develop, maintain, and release Android features throughout the full mobile delivery lifecycle.
Build geo-specific functionality for pickup and drop-off, vehicle availability, routes, fixed points, maps, geofencing, and live tracking.
Develop Jetpack Compose interfaces using established design systems and reusable component libraries.
Integrate real-time location services, map SDKs, routing APIs, and vehicle or other geo-data services.
Implement feature flags and A/B experiments and collaborate with cross-functional, Backend, and QA teams.
Investigate production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and improve performance across memory, UI, battery, and network layers.

Requirements

4+ years of commercial Android application development experience.
Strong Kotlin, modern Android API, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines/Flow, offline storage, REST API, and Git knowledge.
Experience with Clean Architecture, MVVM, MVI/Redux, maintainable testable code, unit testing, and code quality tools.
Hands-on experience with Android location services, maps, geofencing, real-time tracking, map SDKs, and routing or vehicle data.
Experience with performance tuning, CI/CD pipelines, build systems, monitoring, and network debugging.
Intermediate English and availability to work in the CET time zone are required.

Nice to have

Experience with design systems and reusable component libraries.
Experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve development and testing workflows.
