Security Engineering Lead (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Engineer, deploy, manage, and tune identity and access, threat detection and response, cloud security, and network security systems.
• Define and maintain security policies and configurations across endpoints, email, SaaS, network, and cloud platforms.
• Implement continuous visibility into systems, sensitive data, data flows, misconfigurations, and exposure risks across cloud and multi-cloud environments.
• Monitor, triage, and investigate security alerts and risks, coordinating escalation and remediation with Security, IT, and Network teams.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify control gaps, and embed security controls into systems and workflows with Engineering, IT, Product, and GRC teams.
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and guidelines while supporting security and privacy compliance requirements.

Requirements

• 6+ years of IT security experience, including at least 3 years in security engineering.
• Hands-on experience administering and tuning enterprise security platforms, authoring policies, and configuring incident workflows.
• Experience securing data across cloud and SaaS environments, including shadow IT and unmanaged data stores.
• Strong knowledge of identity and access management and data access governance.
• Hands-on experience with technologies including XDR, SWG, DLP, email security, firewalls, NAC, NDR, IGA, CASB, PAM, EPM, BAS, vulnerability scanners, SIEM, SOAR, CTI, patch management, TPRM, and EASM.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and authorization to work in Israel are required.

Nice to have

• Experience building or scaling a security program from the ground up.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google cloud-native security services.
• Knowledge of GDPR, ISO 27001, or SOC 2.
• Scripting or automation skills in Python or PowerShell.
• CISSP or CISM certification, a relevant BSc, or project and people management experience.
