Site Reliability Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: Remote or hybrid, with offices in Karlsruhe and Berlin; temporary work from abroad is supported.

What you will do

• Operate multiple GameFabric environments with more than 50 Kubernetes clusters and a central observability stack.
• Collaborate with developers to engineer scalable solutions from design through deployment.
• Automate infrastructure and operations using Terraform, Ansible, FluxCD, and proprietary Kubernetes operators.
• Optimize the core technology stack across cloud and bare-metal environments.
• Participate in the on-call rotation after becoming fully onboarded.

Requirements

• Degree in IT, IT-related vocational education, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong Linux fundamentals and practical system debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Hands-on experience operating and maintaining Kubernetes clusters in production.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Practical programming experience with Go, Python, or shell scripting.
• Fluent English communication skills, spoken and written.

Nice to have

• Experience with Go and writing Kubernetes controllers or operators.
• Experience working with custom infrastructure tooling.
