Project Engineer, Customs (Medical Devices)

What you will do

• Develop and modify medical instrument designs and prepare detailed engineering drawings using PTC Creo Parametric.
• Apply advanced CAD techniques, including surface modeling, Boolean operations, patterning, and family tables, to capture complex geometry such as drill flutes and tap threads.
• Collaborate with product managers, machinists, welders, quality personnel, sales representatives, surgeons, and product development teams.
• Prepare CAD files for 3D printing and work with the prototype lab to support effective printing practices.
• Measure instrument samples, communicate design concepts, and adjust designs to improve manufacturing speed and ease.
• Maintain compliance with the company quality system, applicable regulations, and company codes of conduct.

Requirements

• 3–7 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable training.
• Experience with PTC Creo Parametric or equivalent 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or Fusion 360.
• Medical device experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, teamwork, and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time and meet the listed physical and visual requirements.
