Senior Site Reliability Engineer (AWS)

Location: Remote, US only

Base pay: $130,000–$155,000 per year

What you will do

• Build and operate highly scalable, cloud-native, and resilient applications and infrastructure in AWS.
• Maintain and improve infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Develop and improve deployment strategies and CI/CD workflows.
• Implement observability, monitoring, and alerting for applications and infrastructure.
• Investigate production incidents, identify root causes, and correct application or infrastructure deficiencies.
• Lead projects with other Site Reliability Engineers and communicate progress to stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least five years of relevant experience with a BS, MS, PhD, or equivalent background.
• Experience designing and operating high-scale systems in AWS.
• Experience building repeatable continuous integration and continuous deployment workflows, preferably with GitLab.
• Proficiency writing scripts in a programming language such as Python, Ruby, or JavaScript.
• Ability to understand and debug complex distributed systems.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.

Nice to have

• Confident Python development skills.
• Professional-level AWS certifications.
• Experience with GCP or Azure.
• Secure coding training, public-company experience, open-source contributions, or technical blog experience.
