Medical Promotional Review Consultant (Pharmaceutical)

Location: United States; remote work supported, with hybrid work encouraged for new hires living within a reasonably short commute of an office.

What you will do

• Review promotional, disease awareness, non-promotional, scientific, medical, and clinical materials for medical accuracy and compliance.
• Lead the Medical role in Promotion Review Committee meetings and oversee the medical advertising promotional review process.
• Provide strategic medical and scientific guidance, interpret efficacy and safety data, and escalate material risks to management or client line managers.
• Collaborate with job owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional promotion review teams on tactics related to label changes for assigned brands.
• Monitor clinical publications, treatment guidelines, FDA regulations, and promotional enforcement activity from relevant US regulatory bodies.
• Communicate review outcomes and risk items to the broader Medical team and participate in relevant industry and FDA meetings.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical, Science, Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; PharmD is highly preferred.
• 5+ years of related experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with functional experience in pharmaceutical medical affairs.
• Knowledge of FDA advertising and promotion regulations, pharmaceutical compliance guidelines, and the promotional review and approval process.
• Ability to understand clinical trial data, review articles, medical textbooks, treatment guidelines, and approved-label claims.
• Strong independent work, collaboration, strategic guidance, analytical, and project management skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Veeva Vault PromoMats or similar review platforms.
