Director, Product Security (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own and guide the product and application security strategy, roadmap, priorities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with DevOps, Engineering, and Product to design scalable, automated security processes within CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead the product security team in developing security specifications for new products and enhancements to existing systems and applications.
• Define technical guidelines and security architecture features for product development.
• Evaluate security technologies, tools, vendors, risks, and integration issues, and recommend risk-reduction measures.
• Review technical security findings, prioritize issues, and support engineering teams through remediation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 8+ years of experience in information security, including 2+ years in product or application security.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience developing and driving security policies, practices, and procedures.
• Familiarity with SAST and DAST tools and processes, web application and mobile security defects, and CI/CD best practices.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role.
• Track record of leading engineering organizations toward industry best practices.
