TL;DR
Lead Validation Engineer (Robotics) (C++/Python/ROS): Designing and executing validation frameworks for robotic systems spanning hardware, software, and cloud integration with an accent on performance, reliability, safety, and automated testing. Location: Mexico, Colombia, or Chile; remote or office work

What you will do

  • Define, design, and execute validation frameworks for robotic systems spanning hardware, software, and cloud integration.
  • Develop and validate rapid prototypes and production-ready solutions for humanoids, mobile robots, robotic arms, and drones.
  • Test robotic systems in simulation and real-world environments, integrating robots with cloud services.
  • Design automated robotic systems for industrial efficiency, precision, and reliability.
  • Research navigation, sensing, decision-making, and modern robotic mechanisms.
  • Collaborate across hardware, software, and cloud teams to define validation metrics and improve product reliability.

Requirements

  • Degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of robotics principles, control systems, algorithms, and software testing and QA methodologies for embedded and robotic systems.
  • Programming expertise in C++, Python, and ROS or ROS2.
  • Experience with robotics simulation tools such as IsaacSim, Gazebo, or Webots; SLAM, localization, mapping, path planning, and sensor fusion.
  • Experience with hardware validation tools, HIL/SIL testing frameworks, and cloud-based robotics management systems.
  • Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, distributed simulation, CI/CD test automation, and data visualization tools such as Grafana or PlotJuggler.
