Cybersecurity Lead | Product Security Engineering

Location: Fully remote, but candidates must be based in New Zealand and have full working rights there.

What you will do

• Act as the primary product security engineer for key business verticals and advise engineering leadership and technical teams.
• Build and manage secure design reviews, threat modeling, release readiness processes, exceptions, and security requirements.
• Identify, triage, remediate, and report mobile, API, and other product security vulnerabilities.
• Automate product security workflows using SAST, DAST, EASM, cloud security tooling, and AI-assisted tools.
• Develop threat models, data-flow diagrams, security patterns, and vulnerability management lifecycles.
• Support product security incident readiness, mentor engineers, and align security priorities with product and engineering roadmaps.

Requirements

• New Zealand location and full working rights are required.
• 5+ years of application security and/or security engineering experience, plus a Computer Science or Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Enterprise experience providing product security advice to engineering and stakeholder teams.
• Experience with secure design reviews, threat modeling, security requirements, and vulnerability remediation.
• Ability to build, automate, and manage SAST, DAST, EASM, and other security testing tools.
• Hands-on AWS and Azure cloud experience, proficiency with AI-assisted development tools, and the ability to work independently on a fully remote team.
