Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure)

Work on a long-term cloud modernization project for a US-based insurance client.

What you will do

• Design, configure, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure and environments.
• Assess on-premises and Azure infrastructure, identifying technical debt and manual processes.
• Plan and support the migration of legacy .NET applications and MS SQL databases from on-premises infrastructure to Azure.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate application deployment and release processes.
• Implement backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies for cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Configure monitoring, logging, alerting, secure connectivity, and cloud security boundaries.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or in a similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience migrating legacy .NET applications and managing MS SQL or relational databases in cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, automated build, test, and deployment processes, including Azure DevOps Pipelines or similar tools.
• Understanding of Azure networking, security, RBAC, access management, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• English B2 level or higher required, with the ability to communicate clearly with global teams and stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Knowledge of Azure Kubernetes Service and containerized workloads.
• Experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python for infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with the Azure Well-Architected Framework or Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, or AZ-400.
