Nursing Practice Educator

Location: hirify.global Vancouver Campus, Vancouver, BC, Canada

Salary: $6,136.75–$8,823.25 CAD monthly; part-time FTE ranges from 0.30 to 0.80.

hirify.global's School of Nursing in the Faculty of Applied Science provides undergraduate nursing education and clinical training.

What you will do

• Plan, implement, and evaluate the clinical components of undergraduate nursing courses.
• Teach nursing competencies in clinical practice skills labs using participatory, interactive, and inclusive methods.
• Supervise groups of nursing students in hospital or community health settings and assign direct patient or client care.
• Assess students' initial skill levels, teach new clinical skills, and monitor performance against accepted practice standards.
• Assist course leaders with theoretical coursework, including grading papers and delivering lectures.
• Coordinate with course leaders and the Associate Director of Undergraduate Programs on clinical program activities.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Nursing and Registered Nurse status with BCCNM.
• Nursing licensure in British Columbia is required.
• At least two years of clinical experience.
• Strong clinical background in adult acute or critical care, maternal and child health, pediatrics, mental health, gerontology, or community and population health.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and willingness to respect diverse perspectives.
• Commitment to developing awareness, knowledge, and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Nursing.
• Teaching experience or a strong interest in teaching.
