Senior Engineer - Data Engineering

What you will do

• Implement technical solutions aligned with architectural decisions and enterprise standards.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python, Databricks, Apache Airflow, and AWS Step Functions.
• Build and optimize ETL processes that move data from enterprise sources into product datastores.
• Apply data quality, validation, security, performance, scalability, and integration practices.
• Collaborate with product owners, engineers, planners, logistics, operations, and other cross-functional partners to refine requirements and integrate solutions.
• Prototype emerging technologies, use AI as an engineering assistant, troubleshoot root causes, and share findings with the team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with modern data architecture, data integrations, and end-to-end data engineering pipelines handling large data volumes.
• 3+ years of experience with ETL pipelines, Python, and SQL.
• Proficiency in PySpark, Scala-Spark, scripting languages, Databricks, and AWS Glue.
• Practical experience with AWS EMR, Apache Spark, Databricks, AWS Redshift, S3, Apache Airflow, and AWS Step Functions.
• Experience with technical design, development, code reviews, code quality, functional and non-functional requirements, security, performance, and scalability.
• Experience with Datadog, CloudWatch, Grafana, AWS cloud engineering, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
• Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, agile methodologies, and Git.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems, investigate root causes, understand business needs, and collaborate across cross-functional fusion teams.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools in engineering workflows, with sound judgment about quality, review standards, and appropriate use.

Nice to have

• Java and Java-streaming development for real-time or near-real-time processing and event-driven architectures.
• AI/ML data pipelines, feature-engineering workflows, scalable data products, and preparation of structured and unstructured data for model training, inference, and automation.
• Knowledge of machine learning, generative AI, prompt engineering, model evaluation, AI governance, responsible AI, GitHub Copilot, LLMs, AI agents, retrieval, tool calling, evaluation, or agentic pipelines.
• Experience transforming large-scale applications, supply chain experience, or AWS Certified Developer certification.
