Senior Payments Manager (Fintech): Expanding and optimizing global payment capabilities by researching markets, selecting payment partners, negotiating commercial terms, and managing integrations and provider performance with an accent on payment methods, conversion, costs, risk, and regulatory considerations. Focus on building country-level payment strategies, improving authorization and conversion rates, and optimizing fraud, chargebacks, settlement, and foreign exchange operations.
Location: On-site in Belgrade or Lisbon

What you will do
- Analyze payment markets, consumer preferences, regulations, and practices across countries and regions.
- Develop country-level payment strategies based on demand, conversion potential, cost, risk, and operational complexity.
- Research, evaluate, select, and onboard payment service providers, acquirers, banks, and alternative payment partners.
- Lead negotiations covering pricing, processing fees, settlement terms, foreign exchange, and service levels.
- Coordinate payment integrations and launches with Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Operations.
- Manage post-launch provider relationships, performance reviews, escalations, roadmaps, and commercial optimization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in payments.
- Direct experience working with payment service providers, acquirers, gateways, banks, or alternative payment method providers.
- Experience sourcing, evaluating, negotiating with, and onboarding payment partners.
- Strong understanding of acquiring, processing, card networks, gateways, alternative payment methods, settlement, foreign exchange, fraud, and chargebacks.
- Strong commercial, negotiation, analytical, and ownership skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
Nice to have
- Understanding of local payment regulations, compliance requirements, and tax considerations across markets.
- Experience using AI and automation tools for research, partner evaluation, documentation, and analysis.
- Experience in the video game industry.
