Lead Online Game Designer (Dying Light) (Online Games/Live Service): Defining and delivering a new online experience in the Dying Light universe across gameplay systems, progression, economy, and live operations with an accent on interdisciplinary leadership and full-cycle game development. Focus on designing engagement mechanics, coordinating designers and developers, using player research and data analytics, and supporting features from prototyping through post-launch support.

Location: Onsite in Wrocław or Warszawa, Poland

hirify.global is a Polish video game developer known for the Dying Light and Call of Juarez franchises, with studios in Wrocław and Warsaw and an international team of more than 500 professionals.

What you will do

  • Define the framework and structure for a new online experience in the Dying Light franchise.
  • Lead an interdisciplinary team through conception, prototyping, implementation, release, and post-launch support.
  • Design progression systems, gameplay mechanics, online features, engagement mechanisms, and in-game economy.
  • Plan the development roadmap with Production and prioritize, assign, and monitor work across designers and developers.
  • Collaborate with programmers, artists, animators, marketing, business development, and player research teams.
  • Create design documentation, support iterative feature implementation, and coach game designers.

Requirements

  • Senior-level experience designing online and live-service games.
  • Previous experience as a Lead Game Designer or Design Director.
  • Structured and professional approach to game design and production methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and a supportive attitude toward development teams.
  • Very good command of English required.
  • Knowledge of statistics or data analytics tools and visual scripting tools or languages.
