Customer Engineer-CMP (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Chengdu, China; onsite work with customer equipment

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and upgrade customer semiconductor equipment.
• Apply diagnostic techniques and digital analytics to troubleshoot technical issues with support from senior engineers.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Collaborate with customers and senior engineers to understand process flows, roadmaps, requirements, and business challenges.
• Train and mentor junior field service engineers.
• Coordinate directly with customers to support smooth equipment operation.

Requirements

• Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification.
• 4–7 years of experience in the semiconductor or equipment support industry.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, and/or thermodynamics.
• Strong knowledge of hand tools and digital multimeters.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to meet onsite safety and environmental requirements, work in clean-room conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks including standing, climbing, lifting up to 35 lbs., and working with electricity.
