Senior Analytics Engineer (Databricks/Azure)

Location: In-office at hirify.global’ NYC headquarters in Downtown Manhattan, United States.

Salary: $140,000–$175,000 USD per year, plus potential bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Translate analytical needs from Data Scientists and business stakeholders into robust data infrastructure and workflows.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models and pipelines with the Data Engineering team.
• Monitor performance and optimize data systems for reliability and high throughput.
• Build a Data Quality Framework with the Data Integrity team to ensure production data meets stakeholder and process SLAs.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement code and process fixes for data-related issues.
• Develop CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, documentation, testing, and engineering best practices for analytics solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering or data engineering with Python and PySpark.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience writing and optimizing advanced SQL queries.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience building, monitoring, and optimizing large-scale data systems and analytics infrastructure.
• Experience with Databricks and Azure or equivalent cloud platforms, plus Airflow or Astronomer.
• Experience with CI/CD tools including TeamCity, Terraform, GitHub, and Octopus.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of software development practices across the full lifecycle, including agile methodologies, code reviews, testing, and operations.
• Streaming or near-real-time data modeling experience.
• Passion for technical mentorship.
