Data Science Team Manager

Location: Istanbul (VADI ISTANBUL PARK), Türkiye. Remote working opportunities are available throughout August.

What you will do

• Build and develop the Data Science chapter's capabilities, craftsmanship, and future operating model with Tribe and Product Leads.
• Manage and develop a diverse team of data science experts, supporting career goals, engagement, performance, and retention.
• Coordinate capacity and allocate chapter members to global backlog priorities across chapters.
• Contribute hands-on as a data scientist to retail projects in lending, personalization, and pricing.
• Manage multiple retail data science projects and collaborate on global backlog delivery.
• Support talent acquisition by leading interviews when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, computer science, econometrics, or a related technical or business field.
• Management experience in an Agile organization; matrix experience is a plus.
• Data science experience in the retail domain, with strong analytical skills and knowledge of the relevant business area.
• Experience with analytics, backlog management, and resource planning.
• Ability to lead expert teams in complex, dynamic environments and promote continuous improvement and personal development.
• Excellent Python and Spark skills, Agile/Scrum experience, and excellent English proficiency.
