What you will do
- Manage EHS activities, staff, department goals, budgets, workloads, and operational assignments across assigned facilities.
- Develop and implement corporate EHS policies, programs, training, performance metrics, and sustainability initiatives.
- Lead compliance audits, incident and accident investigations, corrective actions, preventive measures, and regulatory reporting.
- Coordinate emergency response, business continuity activities, evacuation drills, and follow-up on identified deficiencies.
- Advise operational teams, HR, senior stakeholders, and regulatory authorities on complex EHS matters.
- Oversee ergonomic programs, environmental health and safety records, workers’ compensation administration for US operations, and regional EHS performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree; more than 10 years of professional experience in a similar industry, including at least 2 years in management positions.
- Spanish at C2 level and English at B1–B2 level.
- Advanced knowledge of accident prevention and investigation, biological, chemical, and radiation safety, hazardous materials, PPE, loss prevention, and EHS regulations.
- Experience developing EHS training and audit programs, managing EHS systems, and applying ISO 14001/45001 or similar standards.
- Knowledge of sustainability principles, environmental regulations, regulatory compliance, business integration, and Lean manufacturing or systematic problem-solving.
- Strong communication, technical writing, project management, presentation, and stakeholder advisory skills.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree or Ph.D.
- Current professional certification from a recognized EHS organization.
- Experience as an ISO 14001/45001 lead or internal auditor.
- Microsoft Office skills at an intermediate level.
