IT Platform and Automation Engineer

Location: Hybrid in New York City, NY, or San Francisco, CA

What you will do

• Own identity and access automation across SaaS tools, including SSO, MFA, SCIM provisioning, and zero-trust controls with Okta or Auth0.
• Automate endpoint lifecycle management, device provisioning, MDM configuration, secure deployment, and zero-touch onboarding using Jamf and Intune.
• Design and maintain cloud-managed office networks, Wi-Fi, VPN, and ZTNA solutions for a hybrid workforce.
• Build API integrations and workflow automations connecting Okta, Greenhouse, Notion, CRM systems, Slack, and other business tools.
• Develop internal dashboards, Slack applications, LLM integrations, and prompt-engineering pipelines using Claude or OpenAI APIs.
• Automate security monitoring, patch management, alert correlation, access reviews, audit trails, and SOC2/ISO compliance reporting.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in IT Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Platform roles with a strong focus on automation and APIs.
• Advanced Python or JavaScript/Node.js skills, including Git, CI/CD, testing, and documentation practices.
• Hands-on experience with REST or GraphQL integrations, OAuth2, JSON, and API-based workflow design.
• Experience with Okta or Azure AD, including SCIM and automation, plus at least one MDM solution such as Jamf or Intune.
• Understanding of least privilege, automated patching, security automation, TCP/IP, VLANs, Wi-Fi, VPN, or ZTNA.
• Availability to work in a hybrid setup from New York City or San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Experience with Rippling, Greenhouse, Notion, Slack, Google Workspace, or GAM administration.
• Hands-on experience building internal tools with Anthropic Claude or OpenAI APIs.
• Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform.
• Experience preparing IT systems for SOC2 or ISO 27001 audits.
• Experience with Apple Business Manager or Windows Autopilot zero-touch deployment.
