TL;DR
Mid Java Developer (Java/Hadoop): Developing Java applications and working with the Hadoop ecosystem, including Spark and Hive, in a hybrid Porto-based consulting environment with an accent on Linux, testing, build automation, and relational databases. Focus on solving analytical and integration challenges, maintaining reliable code with JUnit and Maven, and collaborating across teams.
Location: Hybrid work in Porto, two days per week; candidates must be based in Portugal and hold Portuguese or EU citizenship or a valid work permit.

What you will do
- Develop and maintain applications using Java 8 or above.
- Work in a Linux environment and use JUnit, Maven, and Git.
- Build and support solutions within the Hadoop ecosystem, including Spark and Hive.
- Work with relational databases and apply analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborate effectively with teams and clients across technology projects.
Requirements
- Degree in Technology or Computer Engineering.
- 3–6 years of hands-on Java development experience.
- Practical experience with Hadoop, Spark, and Hive.
- Strong experience with JUnit, Maven, Git, Linux, and relational databases.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organization, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- English proficiency at B2 level and availability for hybrid work in Porto are required.
Nice to have
- Portuguese as a preferred main language.
- French language skills.
