TL;DR
Senior Automation Anywhere Developer (AI): Designing, developing, testing and deploying enterprise-grade automations on Automation Anywhere Automation 360 with an accent on intelligent document processing, OCR pipelines, AI services and secure enterprise integrations. Focus on building resilient automations in Citrix and VDI environments, implementing exception recovery and human-in-the-loop workflows, and supporting solutions through deployment, hypercare and optimisation.
Location: London or Birmingham, with remote and hybrid working arrangements

What you will do
- Design, develop, test and deploy production-grade bots and automation processes using Automation Anywhere Automation 360.
- Build Document Automation learning instances with classification, data extraction, validation and human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Integrate Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Document Intelligence, REST APIs, databases, files, queues and enterprise applications.
- Design OCR and intelligent document-processing pipelines for structured, semi-structured and unstructured documents.
- Develop reliable automations for Citrix, VDI and other controlled enterprise environments, including exception handling, retries, recovery, logging and escalation.
- Support discovery and design workshops, testing, deployments, production releases, hypercare, incident resolution and Control Room administration.
Requirements
- At least three years of recent hands-on Automation Anywhere development experience, including substantial Automation 360 experience.
- Production experience designing, developing and deploying enterprise automations and intelligent document-processing solutions.
- Experience configuring document-processing models or learning instances with extraction, validation and human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Experience integrating REST APIs, cloud services and AI capabilities, plus a solid understanding of OCR, confidence thresholds and extraction limitations.
- Experience with Citrix or VDI environments, Control Room deployment and administration, production support, technical documentation, PDDs and SDDs.
- Scripting or software-development ability with Python, JavaScript or VBScript, along with strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Automation Anywhere certification and experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Document Intelligence or comparable services.
- Experience with generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation, AI agents, secure prompt design, model governance and responsible AI controls.
- Knowledge of SQL, relational databases, Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, process mining and Agile delivery.
- Experience in regulated or security-conscious sectors, mentoring developers or supporting technical assurance and code reviews.
