TL;DR
Software Project Manager (AutoStore) (WES): Leading warehouse execution software projects from initiation through client go-live with an accent on requirements analysis, system concepts, technical specifications, and client coordination. Focus on implementing integrated intralogistics solutions, improving project quality and delivery, and developing scalable standards for automated warehousing.
Location: One of the EMEA sites in Madrid, Lisbon, Milan or Paris; residence near a German site or willingness to travel accordingly. Approximately 10% travel within Europe is required for client projects. Flexible hours and remote working are available.

What you will do
- Lead Warehouse Execution Systems software projects from initiation through successful client go-live.
- Coordinate communication between clients, internal departments and development teams.
- Analyse client requirements, advise on suitable solutions and translate requirements into system concepts.
- Manage project quality, schedules and customer satisfaction.
- Review, edit and coordinate technical, IT and interface specifications.
- Identify optimisation opportunities and contribute to standards, best practices and scalable solutions.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
- Initial practical experience in IT or software project management, preferably on client-implemented or client-rollout projects.
- Basic understanding of software development processes and system integrations.
- Experience working with interdisciplinary and international teams, with an analytical, structured and solution-oriented approach.
- Very good written and spoken German and English.
- Availability to work from an EMEA site and travel approximately 10% within Europe.
Nice to have
- Experience in industrial, automated or logistics environments.
- Knowledge of warehouse systems such as WES, WCS or WMS.
