DevOps Engineer

Location: United States implied by the Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Poly requirement and company 401(k) contributions.

Salary: $187,000–$204,000 per year, plus $47,000–$51,000 in immediately vested company 401(k) contributions.

What you will do

• Support platform architectural design, deployment, debugging, operations, and service infrastructure maintenance.
• Build release pipelines for fast and safe delivery across development, testing, staging, QA, and production environments.
• Develop Git-based configuration management practices, including branching and merging strategies.
• Automate deployments and infrastructure configuration using scripting, Puppet, Ansible, software-defined networking, and other automation toolkits.
• Set up continuous integration environments with Jenkins or Bamboo, containerization, Kubernetes, serverless technologies, AWS, and virtualized infrastructure.
• Serve as a technical lead for an Agile team and collaborate with developers, testers, project managers, support staff, and customers.

Requirements

• Top Secret/SCI clearance with Full Scope Poly is required.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Computer Science with at least 10 years of related experience, excluding education experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in Agile development environments and system architecture.
• At least 10 years managing and monitoring AWS cloud and virtualized servers in a PaaS environment.
• Fluency with Git, Linux environments, object-oriented programming, and at least one of Ruby, C, C++, Go, Python, or Java.
• Experience with Windows administration, monitoring, resiliency, performance optimization, MySQL clusters and replication, Elasticsearch, networking, firewalls, and security practices.

Nice to have

• Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and Linux experience.
• Experience integrating Jenkins or Bamboo with Docker and Kubernetes for automated deployment.
• Knowledge of Kibana, Memcache, ActiveMQ, Redis, or APC.
