Location: Dublin, Ireland; on-call support during Dublin hours

What you will do
- Design, implement, and deploy components and features for TrafficShift, a service that shifts traffic away from impaired network devices.
- Build performant, stable, maintainable software that scales across AWS's global network infrastructure.
- Develop and extend AI agent capabilities.
- Collaborate with network engineers and stakeholders on architecture and technical decisions.
- Contribute to operational excellence through code reviews, system optimization, testing, and best practices.
- Participate in the on-call rota during Dublin hours and mentor junior team members.
Requirements
- Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in a related field.
- Experience across the full software development life cycle, including coding, code reviews, source control, builds, testing, and operations.
- Strong software engineering, distributed systems, and problem-solving skills.
- Availability to support the service during Dublin hours.
Nice to have
- Experience with machine learning and large language model fundamentals, including model architecture, training and inference lifecycles, and execution optimization.
- Experience with continuous deployments and operational excellence.
