Senior Engineer, Autonomy Software Integration & Test (Autonomous Systems)

Location: Lviv, Ukraine; on-site. The role primarily supports operations in the Lviv region, with travel to other Ukrainian test and demonstration locations.

What you will do

• Develop, debug, and maintain production software for autonomy, mission execution, system integration, and flight operations.
• Integrate autonomy software onto fixed-wing, multirotor, and other unmanned or autonomous platforms.
• Build internal tools, automation, telemetry analysis pipelines, and test infrastructure using C++ and Python.
• Support software bring-up, system configuration, mission readiness, and troubleshooting across onboard compute, radios, networking, sensors, flight controllers, and mission systems.
• Conduct simulation, SIL, HIL, VIL, ground testing, live flight testing, demonstrations, and post-flight analysis.
• Collaborate with autonomy, systems, hardware, and flight-test teams on integration workflows, documentation, and deployment readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, robotics, aerospace, electrical, mechanical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of experience developing and integrating software for robotics, autonomy, aerospace, embedded systems, or related technical fields.
• Strong C++ and Python software engineering experience, including development, debugging, and system integration.
• Experience with Linux-based environments, hardware-software integration, and debugging distributed cross-disciplinary systems.
• Experience supporting field testing, flight testing, demonstrations, or operational exercises.
• Familiarity with MAVLink, PX4, ArduPilot, QGroundControl, or related unmanned systems technologies; ability to travel within Ukraine as required.

Nice to have

• Experience with autonomous aircraft, ROS, DDS, embedded or real-time systems, RF communications, datalinks, networking, avionics, and flight controllers.
• Experience with SIL, HIL, VIL, simulation, live flight demonstrations, operational deployments, or telemetry-analysis tooling.
• Background in defense, robotics, aerospace, or autonomous systems.
• Ukrainian and English language proficiency.
