Software Engineer — Product (AI)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY, with at least three days per week in the office.

Salary: $220,000–$300,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Build, ship, and maintain end-to-end product features from design through production.
• Develop front-end interfaces and the APIs and services that support them.
• Build abstractions and tools that enable safe use of agent workflows.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define and implement product solutions.
• Contribute to cross-stack architecture, scalability, maintainability, accessibility, responsiveness, and code quality.
• Troubleshoot performance and production issues and participate in code reviews.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong React and TypeScript depth.
• Solid front-end or full-stack fundamentals, including HTML5, CSS3, modern CSS frameworks, and state management libraries.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs, with back-end fluency in Node.js, Python, or a similar technology.
• Experience with responsive and adaptive design and WCAG accessibility standards.
• Track record of delivering scalable, maintainable product code and iterating on sophisticated user workflows.
• Strong communication skills, independent decision-making, and experience in agile cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with design systems and reusable component libraries.
• Familiarity with server-side rendering frameworks such as Next.js.
• Web application performance optimization experience.
• Experience with developer tools, data-heavy products, or owning features across the full stack.
