Jr. Amazon Web Services (AWS) Architect (Cloud Infrastructure): Developing cloud technology strategies and solutions for federal clients with an accent on AWS, virtualization, operating systems, and infrastructure architecture. Focus on designing cloud environments, integrating virtualization and automation tools, administering operating systems, and supporting secure federal technology transformations.
Location: Arlington, VA / Washington, DC, United States; significant travel to client locations and up to 100% travel may be required. US citizenship and US work authorization without current or future visa sponsorship are required.

What you will do
- Develop and deliver cloud technology strategies and solutions for federal clients.
- Support the migration of legacy and new applications to cloud environments.
- Design and work with server, operating system, virtualization, and converged infrastructure technologies.
- Administer, modify, and deploy operating systems and cloud platforms.
- Apply automation, performance tuning, and infrastructure integration practices across client projects.
- Collaborate with project teams and communicate technical solutions to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least one year of hands-on experience with server and operating system technologies, including architecture and design.
- At least one year of hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Citrix Xen, Hyper-V, LPARs, VPARs, logical domains, zones, or containers.
- Fundamental knowledge of Infrastructure as a Service and public and private cloud solutions.
- US citizenship and work authorization without employer visa sponsorship are required.
- An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required.
Nice to have
- Experience with OpenStack, VMware vCloud Director, vCloud Orchestrator, AWS, Azure, Rackspace, or Google Compute.
- Operating system administration experience with Solaris, Linux, Windows, or similar systems.
- Knowledge of converged infrastructure, server and operating system performance tuning, and automation tools such as Chef or Puppet.
