Sr Consultant, Application Support - 18 Months Secondment

Location: Toronto, ON; legally eligible to work at the specified location and, where applicable, hold a valid work or study permit. The proportion of on-site and remote work will be discussed during the interview.

What you will do

• Support and deliver services for Fixed Income production applications within the Capital Markets Technology group.
• Identify and resolve high- and critically complex production problems.
• Collaborate with business analysts and developers on bug fixes and new product releases.
• Work with business lines, technical teams, and external vendors to restore service during outages.
• Perform application validation after infrastructure maintenance and monitor services for improvement opportunities.
• Advise on effective application and technical service delivery processes.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience supporting front-office trading applications; Fixed Income Repo exposure is preferred.
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills, including interpreting server logs and resolving software, application, and operational issues.
• Expertise navigating a Unix environment and reading basic Python or Shell scripts.
• Experience writing SQL queries for troubleshooting and ad-hoc reporting.
• Experience using or configuring the ITRS real-time monitoring tool.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, commerce, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of the FIS Apex Repo trading system.
