Senior Consultant, Application Support (Fixed Income)

Location: Toronto, ON; the work arrangement, including the proportion of on-site and remote work, will be discussed during the interview. Candidates must be legally eligible to work at the specified location and may need a valid work or study permit.

What you will do

• Support and provide service delivery for Fixed Income production applications within the Capital Markets Technology group.
• Identify and resolve high- to critically complex production problems.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Developers on bug fixes and new product releases.
• Work with business lines, technical teams, and external vendors to restore service during outages and validate applications after infrastructure maintenance.
• Monitor and analyze services, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend solutions.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience supporting Front Office Trading Applications.
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills, including approaches, tools, and techniques for identifying and resolving software, application, and operational problems, and interpreting server logs.
• Expertise navigating a Unix environment and reading basic Python or Shell scripts.
• Ability to write SQL queries for day-to-day troubleshooting and ad hoc reports.
• Experience using or configuring the ITRS real-time monitoring tool.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, commerce, or a related field.
• Ability to collaborate, build effective relationships, communicate clearly, influence decisions, adapt to evolving technologies, and champion change.

Nice to have

• Fixed Income Repo experience.
• Working knowledge of the FIS Apex Repo trading system.
