UX Product Manager – PAYGo Phones

Location: Hybrid role based in Kenya, with the job location listed as Nairobi/Lagos

What you will do

• Own and improve the end-to-end experience for PAYGo-financed smartphone customers, from discovery and application through activation, repayment, support, retention, and upgrades.
• Map customer journeys and reduce friction in sign-up, identity verification, device activation, and repayment processes.
• Research agent workflows and improve the mobile apps and dashboards used for prospecting, onboarding, sales processing, and performance tracking.
• Design internal tools and visibility dashboards for field staff, including signals for activation, repayment, productivity, and stock levels.
• Own the MDM product roadmap, including notifications, device restrictions, edge cases, and market-specific policies.
• Define experience metrics, analyze funnels and drop-offs, run experiments, and communicate insights with commercial, operations, engineering, and country teams.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience in UX product management, digital product ownership, or a closely related role.
• Experience owning user experience end to end for multiple distinct user groups, including consumers and operational or field users.
• Experience conducting or commissioning user research and translating findings into product improvements.
• Experience working across multiple countries or markets with different regulatory and cultural contexts.
• Degree in design, business, technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Ability to work in the listed hybrid location: Kenya, with Nairobi/Lagos stated as job locations.

Nice to have

• Experience with mobile-first, low-bandwidth, or emerging-market environments.
• Background in consumer finance, telecoms, device financing, or distribution-heavy businesses.
