What you will do
- Manage a small team of Language Leads, Linguistic Specialists, or reviewers.
- Coordinate daily localization production across text, UI, voice-over scripts, and marketing copy.
- Resolve and escalate terminology, tone, style, and cultural appropriateness issues.
- Track delivery progress, bug triage loops, localization reviews, and project milestones.
- Mentor direct reports and support training, onboarding, performance input, and development conversations.
- Collaborate with LQA, voice-over, marketing localization, production, and content teams.
Requirements
- Experience in content localization or linguistics, ideally in games, media, or entertainment.
- Strong understanding of language quality, tone of voice, transcreation, and cultural nuance.
- Familiarity with CAT platforms, terminology management systems, Jira, Confluence, and CMS tools.
- Experience managing schedules, tracking tasks, and supporting language execution across multiple workstreams.
- Prior experience mentoring peers, guiding contributors, or managing small teams.
- Fluent English is required; fluency in at least one supported language is strongly preferred. A bachelor’s degree in linguistics, translation, localization, or a related field is preferred.
