Robotics Perception Engineer Intern

What you will do

• Develop and evaluate perception components using real robot data.
• Build datasets and evaluation harnesses, run experiments, and report results.
• Integrate perception modules into the live robot stack and demonstrate them.
• Work on pose estimation, vision-language models, vision-language-action models, 3D scene reconstruction, object detection, and multimodal learning.
• Test perception systems on real robots in the office.
• Potentially publish research as a PhD intern and attend leading industry conferences.

Requirements

• Pursuing an MS or PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, robotics, or a related field.
• Strong Python skills and experience with PyTorch and computer vision fundamentals.
• Applied experience demonstrated through projects, competitions, publications, or industry robotics work.
• Ability to take ownership of tasks with light supervision and strong problem-solving skills.
• Must be legally authorized to complete an internship in the United States for either 3 or 6 months.
• Experience with sensor drivers, CUDA, 3D geometry, or multi-sensor fusion.
