Machine Learning Researcher (ML)

Location: New York, United States

Annual base salary: $275,000–$350,000, plus variable compensation, a first-year guaranteed bonus, and a sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Prototype, implement, and evaluate state-of-the-art machine learning techniques.
• Design and build high-performance computational architectures for large-scale knowledge discovery.
• Drive the computational agenda for current and future machine learning projects.
• Solve complex engineering problems across software and hardware layers while anticipating architectural needs.
• Deploy machine learning models into real-world decision-making and trading systems.
• Design efficient training workflows with researchers and transition proof-of-concept systems to broader teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Proven experience collaborating with researchers to translate machine learning ideas into high-performance solutions.
• Expertise in performance optimization, low-level engineering, GPU programming, and modern machine learning frameworks.
• Experience with tools or libraries such as PyTorch, JAX, CUDA, XLA, Triton, or PTX.
• Strong understanding of deep learning tooling, hardware, and architectural challenges.
• Ability to solve complex computational problems, create technical demonstrations, and drive engineering agendas in large systems.
