Team Lead Backend (Go)

Location: Remote or onsite in Armenia, Cyprus, or Poland

What you will do

• Own day-to-day technical execution, including feature delivery, bug fixes, quality improvements, and technical debt tracking.
• Lead hands-on development and testing of complex or critical backend features and components.
• Facilitate design discussions and contribute to microservices, event-driven systems, Domain-Driven Design, and clean architecture.
• Coordinate sprint planning, task prioritization, workload balancing, dependencies, risks, and delivery status.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineering managers, QA, DevOps, and business analysts on deliverables.
• Manage, mentor, coach, and support the professional development of junior, middle, and senior engineers.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience with Go and 2+ years in a Technical Lead or Team Lead role.
• Strong expertise in Go, microservices architecture, scalable distributed systems, and reliability engineering.
• Experience designing REST and RPC services, including gRPC and Protobuf.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, NoSQL databases, Redis, and messaging systems such as NATS, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
• Knowledge of unit and integration testing, code reviews, clean code, documentation, AWS, and containerized environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with the LGTM observability stack, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience with Angular or another frontend technology.
• Python experience.
