Data Science Manager (AI)

Location: Remote - United States

Eligible for a 12–15% bonus in addition to the base salary.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of data science projects from ambiguous business requests through production-ready systems.
• Design and maintain data pipelines, data models, governance standards, and cloud infrastructure for data science projects.
• Build, evaluate, deploy, monitor, and iterate on production machine learning models.
• Architect LLM-integrated features and agentic workflows, including prompt engineering, tool use, and output evaluation.
• Write production-grade Python and SQL, enforce code review and documentation standards, and partner with engineering on product integration.
• Manage, mentor, recruit, and develop a team of 2–4 data scientists while contributing to the data and analytics roadmap.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a quantitative field, or a bachelor’s degree with significant professional experience.
• 6+ years of experience in data science, data engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• 1+ year of direct people management or formal technical leadership experience.
• Expert-level Python and SQL, with experience writing production code.
• Strong knowledge of data pipelines, warehousing, data modeling, source systems, and machine learning lifecycle management.
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure, AWS, or GCP, plus software engineering practices including version control, testing, and CI/CD.

Nice to have

• Experience with dbt, Airflow, Spark, MLflow, feature stores, or model registries.
• Experience with LLMs, RAG, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, or agent frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Familiarity with agentic AI architectures, including tool use, memory, and orchestration.
• Experience in retail, fraud detection, or transaction-level data at scale.
