TL;DR
Data Analyst, Collections & Delinquency (Collections and Solar Finance): Analyzing portfolio performance, customer delinquencies, and solar asset data to optimize collection strategies and mitigate financial risk with an accent on predictive risk modeling, operational recovery workflows, and cross-functional solar performance analysis. Focus on identifying high-risk accounts, linking payment behavior to system health and utility activation, and automating dashboards and actionable insights.
Location: Costa Rica; hybrid, with 3+ days per week in the office in Escazú Village, San José

What you will do
- Monitor and analyze 30/60/90+ day delinquency trends across PPA, lease, and loan portfolios.
- Segment portfolio risk by financing product, geographic region, utility territory, and customer credit tier.
- Develop predictive models and analyses for early risk identification, cure confidence, and recovery value.
- Design and optimize collection strategies, operational queues, calling lists, payment plans, ACH setups, and UCC-1 recovery actions.
- Link delinquent accounts to solar system performance, maintenance issues, and PTO transition periods.
- Build automated dashboards and forecasts for Bad Debt Expense, Roll Rates, and DSO, while maintaining data flows across Salesforce, servicing platforms, and data warehouses.
Requirements
- 2–4+ years of experience as a Data Analyst in consumer collections, credit risk, or loan servicing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, and aggregations against data warehouses such as Snowflake or Redshift.
- Strong experience building production-level BI dashboards using Sigma or comparable tools, with experience leveraging AI.
- Advanced Excel modeling skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Power Query.
- Must work from the Costa Rica office at least 3 days per week; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
Nice to have
- Python or R experience for predictive modeling and automation, including Pandas or NumPy.
- Experience with solar or renewable-energy billing models.
- Experience using Claude, Gemini, Copilot, or other AI analysis tools.
