Head of Site Reliability Engineering (Fintech)

What you will do

• Define and implement the framework for SLOs and error budgets across product teams.
• Establish blameless post-mortem processes and drive root-cause fixes for incidents.
• Implement production readiness reviews to ensure high standards for new deployments.
• Optimize observability coverage in Datadog to reduce noise and improve incident response.
• Hire and build the SRE team from the ground up, setting technical and cultural standards.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of engineering experience with at least 3 years in a management role.
• Proven track record of hiring, developing, and promoting engineering talent.
• Hands-on background in production or reliability engineering with active on-call experience.
• Strong proficiency in AWS and Terraform within managed infrastructure-as-code pipelines.
• Experience building on-call rotations and incident management processes.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code or Cursor.

Nice to have

• Experience working in PCI DSS, SOC 2, or ISO 27001 regulated environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes migrations and platform core reliability.
