Head of Program Lead (AI Drug Discovery)

Location: Paris, France; hybrid workplace with up to two remote days per week

What you will do

• Keep drug discovery programs focused, relevant, and outcome-oriented throughout their lifecycle.
• Challenge scientific reasoning and technology use while supporting change management and effective technology adoption.
• Conduct 360-degree program assessments using KPIs, stakeholder input, and market insights.
• Recommend program continuation, acceleration, or discontinuation and lead resource allocation discussions.
• Develop standardized governance, planning, and execution methodologies across programs.
• Lead, mentor, hire, and develop a high-performing team of Program Leaders.

Requirements

• PhD in Chemistry or Biology preferred; MD, PharmD, or Engineering background also considered.
• Experience in life sciences consulting, asset positioning, or R&D portfolio management.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical depth, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated experience managing, hiring, and developing talent.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, solve complex problems, and make strategic decisions in uncertain environments.
• Highly organized, adaptable, curious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting.

Nice to have

• Experience in a startup biotech company or CRO.
